泰康人寿保险股份有限公司系1996年8月22日经中国人民银行总行批准成立的全国性、股份制人寿保险公司。公司由16家实力雄厚的国有大中型企业和股份制企业发起组建，公司总部设在北京。2000年，公司全面完成外资募股工作，吸收瑞士丰泰人寿、苏黎士洛易银行、新政泰达投资有限公司和日本软库银行集团等著名国际金融企业为外资股东。截至2005年底，已在全国设立29家分公司，160家中心支公司，公司资产总额达556亿元，当年保费收入178亿元，连续保持了高速增长，成为业内增长速度最快的公司之一，市场占有率逐年稳步提升。

　　Established on August 22nd, 1996, Taikang Life Insurance Co.,Ltd. is a nation-wide, share-holding life insurance company with strong financial capability. Approved by the State Council and authorized by China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), Taikang Life completed the private placement to foreign investors in November 2000. In 2004, Taikang Life became the first domestic insurance company that successfully issued the Subordinated Debts in the amount of RMB 1.3 billion. Taikang Life is headquartered in Beijing.
